Ziva GPA is a 7 yr old PRE mare bred and raised in Colorado. I partnered up with her in January of 2015. Ziva the Diva as she is known, is sensitive, intelligent ride. She demands I go slow and add variety to our training.  Typical week for us has conditioning on our 1/2 mile track, low cross country jumping, ground poles, trail riding , select obstacle work  along with dressage.  We just completed teaching and leading a group get away at a Wyoming ranch.  What better way to make the show ring seem not so scary! The Diva is currently competing at Novice A and training Novice B at home. Every since I went to a judges seminar in October of 2015 I have dreamed of showing at this amazing venue.   This year qualifying for the championship show seemed like a great excuse to pony up and head down to Texas.

I got hooked on WE in fall of 2013. I went from going to a play day to a schooling show then helping to found High Country Working Equitation in Colorado. I love the versatility of the sport and training. I run a small teaching/training business in Fort Collins and use WE to train all my students to learn to work with their horse and improve their horsemanship skills. This year I traveled all over Colorado doing introductory clinics and getting new WE enthusiasts. I really enjoy being an ambassador for the sport and getting people "hooked". I became a r carded judge in 2017 and am excited to travel and meet other competitors. Our goal for this show is to get there safely, have fun and enjoy the Haras experience.  We are both green to this level of competition so I am keeping an open mind and heart. My good friend is travelling with me and she has never been to Texas or Haras. Time to show the Florida girl some Texas hospitality.  I am using pictures from last weekends ranch clinic. I feel this is the real us. Learning the sport and then taking it outside to test our skills. See y'all there!

Note: if you want to share with us your road to the championship, your involvement with Working Equitation and/or some fun facts of your horse partners, please send an email with pictures to
